Deborah daughter (the second child) February 26, 2015
I remember mother coming to Reno Nevada and seeing snow for the first time.    My daughter Angela and I thought it would be so much fun to have her try to ski in the snow in the backyard on a small slope....oh my goodness what were we thinking...we put her in ski boots and put her on skis in her Florida style cotton pants.(Yikes) after the slipping and sliding stopped. ha ha ha, we decided to get out of the skis and lay down to make snow angels instead.   So much fun and so much belly laughter.  She was so tickled to see her snow angel design.  Mother just knew how to put laughter in your heart and a smile on your face by trying new things.   Thank you mother for your joy--both in your physical presence and your forever memories.

Jenni Sapp Grand Daughter, daughter of Marion Frederick February 22, 2015
I remember getting up super early after staying the night with my grandmother. She had to work, so we would stop at Burger King and get French toast sticks on the way to the Best Western. She worked at the front desk and in the back office. She taught me how to make keys, check guests in, really be hospitable to guests and stay organized. I would wonder the hotel playing at the pool and learning from housekeeping and maintenance. We would meet up again at the Chinese restaurant for lunch which always included donuts. This is funny because I don't like Chinese food anymore!  She taught me about personal appearance and how to be professional. I loved our time together. I would watch her crochet while she watched the Olympics. Two tall Budweiser cans a night and something simple followed by a glass of buttermilk to sleep. She could never sleep when I was there because even in her king sized bed I would end up with my feet in her face! Poor thing. I wouldn't change those moments for the world. She also taught me to iron my clothes and put my money facing the same direction as to know how much I had at all times. She sure was a great woman. She taught me so many things I still use.
